I am currently in-network with the following insurance networks (individual plan names and benefits vary - please verify your specific coverage directly with your insurance provider):
Blue Cross Blue Shield
HealthChoice
Healthcare Highways
UnitedHealthcare / Optum
How to check your coverage:
To confirm whether I am in-network with your specific plan (regardless of where you live), please call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask whether I am an in-network provider. If I am not in-network with your plan, I also offer a private-pay option.I do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.
Important Insurance Information:
Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis in order to cover therapy services. If you choose to use insurance, I am required to assign a diagnosis, which becomes part of your permanent health record. If you are not comfortable with this - or prefer greater privacy and flexibility - private pay may be a better fit for you.
-
What Is Private Pay?
Private-pay means paying for therapy out of pocket rather than using insurance. Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card.
Benefits of Private Pay
More privacy
Your therapy information is not shared with an insurance company or employer.More flexibility
Private pay allows us to work together without insurance requirements around diagnoses, treatment goals, or session limits. No session caps or approvals
You are not restricted by insurance authorizations or coverage limits.Faster access
Private pay often allows clients to begin therapy sooner, without waiting for insurance approval.Therapy that’s not diagnosis-driven
Private pay creates space to focus on burnout, life transitions, relationships, stress, or personal growth - whether or not those concerns meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis.Private Pay & Insurance Reimbursement
If you choose private pay, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement varies by plan and is handled directly between you and your insurance provider. If you pursue reimbursement, your insurance company may require a mental health diagnosis.
To check reimbursement benefits, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask whether you have out-of-network mental health coverage.

Cancellation Policy
I understand that life happens and sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule. To accommodate this, I offer a one-time “free pass” for your first no-show, late cancellation, or late reschedule.
After that, I kindly request that cancellations or reschedules be made more than 24 hours before your scheduled session. This allows me to offer the time to other clients and is respectful of everyone’s schedule.
Late cancellations or no-shows:
Sessions cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before your appointment, or missed sessions, will be charged the full private-pay fee for the type of session. -
Research shows that clients who attend therapy weekly tend to benefit more from their sessions than those who come less often. For this reason, I generally recommend weekly sessions, at least during the first six months of our work together.
If a different schedule works better for you, I’m happy to discuss a plan that fits your needs.
-
The length of therapy is unique to each individual or couple. It depends on your life experiences, goals, engagement in the process, and the scope of your needs.
At the start, we’ll clarify your goals and regularly check in to assess progress and adjust as needed. If you decide it’s time to take a break, reduce session frequency, or conclude therapy, I will support you throughout the transition.
-
The client-therapist relationship is an important one. If at any point we discover that we’re not the right fit - whether at the beginning or after some time working together - I’m happy to provide referrals to other qualified therapists or counselors in the community.
